My Love and I

Our Voices Are The Seeds They Fear

My mother stood between two groups of raging teenage boys in the 1967 riots.

“Stop this! Your mothers would be ashamed of you!”

Then, as if snapped out of a trance, they set down their boards and walked away.

“Why?”

“People are mean mostly when they are in pain, Sarah Beth,” she told me in a lucid moment. “we have to be patient and help them heal.”

There was a lie in the center of the culture, and it broke my mother’s mind. I was only 4, but I was not blind. My calling was set:

Find and destroy the source of painful lies which spread evil into the world.

Human nature is not evil. Evil is propaganda, invented, and taught to divide us by a tiny few who spread hate like a psychological illness, a social virus, and benefit from our division.

The more we share our stories, the more of this truth we see. Every living thing resists being owned.

Divided, we die out. United, we leverage care.

How?

Great question!
